• Contact Peta to make an obligation free appointment to complete a Notice of Intended Marriage. www.ag.gov.au/celebrants.   This must be no less than one month and one day and no more than eighteen months prior to the date of your wedding.  A deposit needs to be paid at this time which confirms your date, time & location.

And You

• You must both be over 18 years of age.
• If you were born in Australia, you must, when lodging the Notice of Intended Marriage, produce your original birth certificates. (The certificate with your parents details on it)
• If you were born in another country, you must make every effort to produce your birth certificate. If this is not at all possible, the passport of your country of origin will be accepted. In some circumstances, you may have to make a Statutory Declaration regarding your birth.
• If either of you has been previously married, you must produce your Certificate of Divorce.
• If either of you has been widowed, you will need to produce the Death Certificate.
• Citizenship papers may have to be produced, if applicable.
• On the day of your wedding ceremony, you will need two witnesses present who are over the age of 18 year
